Discover the wild beauty of Lake Skadar on this 3-hour mixed cruise that blends history, nature, and local life into one unforgettable journey.
Your adventure begins in Virpazar, from where you’ll head toward Grmožur Island — often called “Montenegro’s Alcatraz.” Once a 19th-century prison built by King Nikola, today the island is home to dozens of bird species, offering a perfect spot for photography and birdwatching.
From there, the cruise continues to the impressive Lesendro Fortress, a symbol of the lake’s turbulent past, before gliding through the northern channels covered in water lilies and rich with wildlife. Along the way, you’ll pass the traditional fishing village of Vranjina, where wooden boats, small houses, and calm waters paint a picture of Montenegro’s lake life at its finest.
This route offers a little bit of everything — history, nature, and peaceful scenery — making it one of the most balanced and popular tours on Lake Skadar.
