Set out on a peaceful 3-hour journey across Lake Skadar and explore one of its most spiritually significant and scenic spots — the Monastery of Vranjina.

Departing from Virpazar, your cruise begins with a gentle ride through the Crmnica River, surrounded by reeds, water lilies, and the songs of countless birds. As the lake opens up, you’ll pass by the Lesendro Fortress, a proud reminder of Montenegro’s rich history, before reaching the charming island of Vranjina.

Often called “the Montenegrin Mount Athos,” Vranjina is home to one of the oldest monasteries on Lake Skadar, founded in the 13th century. Nestled among olive trees and overlooking the water, the monastery still preserves its peaceful rhythm of life, offering visitors a sense of calm and reflection.

Your skipper will share local stories about the island and its connection to the lake’s history and spirituality. Depending on the season, you can also enjoy a short swimming break or simply relax while taking in the views on the way back to Virpazar.

This cruise beautifully combines nature, culture, and history, making it ideal for travelers who want to explore Lake Skadar beyond its surface beauty.
