Set out from Virpazar on a peaceful two-hour cruise that combines history, nature, and local life along Lake Skadar’s most scenic routes.
After about 15 minutes, you’ll leave the narrow Crmnica River and enter the open lake, where the historic Lesendro Fortress rises from the water — built in the 18th century and later captured by the Ottomans in 1843. As you continue through the calm waters of the Morača River, you’ll pass by the charming fishing village of Vranjina, often called “the Montenegrin Venice,” surrounded by flocks of birds and mountain reflections.
Your journey continues toward Čakovica Island, known for its carpets of water lilies and peaceful atmosphere. Depending on the season, your skipper can make a short swimming stop, giving you time to relax and take in the lake’s quiet beauty.
The tour ends with a slow cruise along the coast before returning to Virpazar — a perfect short escape to experience the heart of Lake Skadar, filled with nature, history, and local charm.
